Sher Aur Billi Ki Kahani

Sher Aur Billi Ki Kahani

Years ago, in a jungle named Neel, there lived a very clever cat. Everyone wanted to learn from her, and all the animals in the jungle referred to her as “Aunty Cat.” Some animals even went to her for education.

One day, a lion came to Aunty Cat and said, “I also need to learn from you. I want to become your student so that I can learn everything and face no difficulties in life.”

After thinking for a while, Aunty Cat said, “Alright, come for your lessons starting tomorrow.”

From the next day onwards, the lion came to Aunty Cat every day to learn. In just one month, the lion became so knowledgeable that Aunty Cat told him,

“Now you have learned everything from me. There is no need for you to come for lessons anymore. You can lead your life easily with the knowledge you have gained from me.”

The lion asked, “Are you telling the truth? Do I know everything now?”

Aunty Cat replied, “Yes, I have taught you everything I knew.”

Roaring with pride, the lion said, “Well then, why not put this knowledge to the test today? It will show me how much I have learned from you.”

Fearful, Aunty Cat said, “Fool, I am your teacher. I have taught you, and you cannot challenge me in this way.”

Ignoring Aunty Cat’s words, the lion pounced on her. To save her life, Aunty Cat ran as fast as she could. Running for her life, she climbed a tree.

Seeing Aunty Cat up the tree, the lion said, “You did not teach me how to climb a tree. You haven’t given me complete knowledge.”

From the safety of the tree, Aunty Cat replied, “I never trusted you from the first day. I knew that you came to me not to learn but to become a threat to my life. That’s why I didn’t teach you how to climb a tree. If I had given you this knowledge, you would have killed me today. That’s the reason I didn’t teach you how to climb a tree. If I had given you complete knowledge, you would have attacked me.”

In anger, Aunty Cat continued, “After today, never come in front of me. Stay away from my sight. A disciple who cannot respect his teacher is not worthy of anything.”

Hearing Aunty Cat’s words, the lion also got angry, but he couldn’t do anything because Aunty Cat was up the tree. Fuming with anger, the lion roared and left.

Lesson from the story: The story of the lion and Aunty Cat teaches us not to blindly trust anyone. Being cautious with everyone in life keeps you safe.
