This is a very old story about a large lion that lived in a dense jungle. All the animals in the jungle trembled with fear at the sight of the lion. Every day, the lion hunted the jungle animals and filled his stomach.
One day, he roamed the jungle all day but couldn’t find any prey. As evening approached, he became extremely hungry. That’s when he noticed a cave. The lion thought, “Why not sit inside this cave, wait for its owner, and as soon as he arrives, I’ll attack and satisfy my hunger.” With this thought in mind, the lion hurriedly entered the cave and sat down.
The cave belonged to a fox, which had gone out in the afternoon. When returning to its cave at night, it noticed paw marks outside the entrance. This made the fox cautious. When it observed the marks closely, it understood that the paw marks were leading into the cave but not coming out. Now, it was confirmed in the fox’s mind that the lion was sitting inside the cave.
Still, to confirm, the fox devised a strategy. It shouted from outside the cave, “Hey, cave! What’s the matter? You always call me by shouting, but today you’re unusually silent. What happened?”
The lion sitting inside the cave thought, “Maybe this cave usually calls this fox by shouting, but today it’s not making a sound because of me. No problem, today I will call it myself.” Thinking this, the lion shouted loudly, “Come in, my dear friend fox. Come inside.”
Hearing this voice, the fox understood that the lion was indeed inside the cave. It quickly saved its life and fled from there.
Lesson from the story:
Even in the most difficult situations, using intelligence can lead to a solution.
