Once upon a time, in a jungle, there lived an elephant. He was proud of his body and strength. Whenever he encountered any animal on the way, he would harass and scare them away.
One day, as he was walking, he noticed a parrot sitting on a tree. He asked the parrot to bow down in front of him. The parrot refused, and in anger, the elephant uprooted the tree on which the parrot was perched. The parrot flew away, and the elephant laughed at the sight.
Another day, the elephant went to the riverbank to drink water. There, he saw a small ant’s nest. A hardworking ant was gathering food for herself. Seeing this, the mischievous elephant thought of a prank. He filled his trunk with water and sprayed it over the ant’s collection.
The ant’s food was ruined, and she got completely soaked. Angry and determined to teach the arrogant elephant a lesson, the ant waited for an opportunity. One day, she found her chance to turn the tables.
While the elephant was peacefully grazing on green grass, the ant crawled into his trunk and started cutting from the inside. As soon as the ant cut the trunk, the elephant began crying in pain, shouting for help.
Hearing the elephant’s cries, the ant came out, and the elephant apologized, realizing his mistake. The ant forgave him, and from that day forward, the elephant changed his ways. He vowed not to trouble others and decided to help those in need.
The story teaches us not to be arrogant about our strength and power. Instead, we should use our abilities to help others rather than causing harm.
